Material Prep Coordinator Position Summary:
Understanding the needs of the customers and to perform material preparation duties to support the long-term success of Industry Products Co. Conform to customer requirements by performing defect-free work and continuously improving our processes and the effectiveness of our Quality Management System.
Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to learn to set-up and safely operate all machines within the Material Prep Department Ability to create computer programs for operation of equipment Basic reading Strong math skills and their application in job processes Self-motivated Ability to learn to accurately use dial calipers, foam gauge, scale, go-no-go gauge, tape measure, and other QA inspection devices Ability to maneuver 80 pounds Ability to learn to safely operate a Tow Motor Fit into team and continuous improvement environment
Preferred:
Previous material cutting experience Ability to lift 50 pounds Tow Motor permit Previous experience with materials processed in the department Previous equipment experience, i.e. laminators, slitters, Seybold cutters, sheeters and horizontal bun slicing Primary Position responsibilities: Prep material to customer requirements Set up machines (including programming where applicable) Laminate materials together Cut bulk material into smaller workable pieces to send to production Perform quality checks per process sheet/inspection checklist Material handler Move material from staging are to machine • Load machine Locate product in rack Return any over issued material to the Warehouse tagged appropriately Complete paperwork and computer entry Complete paperwork, including temperatures, material prep Fill out manufacturing orders correctly Mark or tag skids for location to go to press department Use computer terminal correctly Generate two part Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Trial and Boise labels Safe Operation of all equipment•following all safety guidelines including but not limited to Properly locking/tagging out equipment Safe operation of Tow Motor Safe operation of hand tools, utility knife, hand saws, hammer, mallets, etc. Performs other duties as assigned to include special projects, programs and developmental activities.
