Job Description
R&D Extrusion Technician We are currently seeking candidates with strong extrusion process knowledge and experience in extrusion machine set-up, tooling and operation for an Extrusion Technician position in a rapidly growing company's R&D Department in Valley View. In this position, you will work in a technical hands-on role setting up, testing, and operating highly engineered film extrusion equipment and processes producing breakthrough films for new technology in an R&D environment. Advanced training and certifications are provided to continue career growth and potential.
Hours:
7:00 am- 3:00 pm, Monday
Friday Pay:
$24.00- $26.
Key Responsibilities:
Support film extrusion equipment set-up and operation, tooling changeovers, and testing Troubleshoot any equipment issues, research resolutions, and support/perform repairs/upgrades Provide recommendations and implement solutions to resolve equipment and/or process problems in a timely manner Help develop processing parameters for multilayer films Ensure machines are functional and safe to operate Report safety problems immediately and operate equipment safely Write and revise SOPs Perform 5S activities Perform all material handling functions (raw materials and finished goods)Minimum Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma/GED or 4+ years of experience in manufacturing 3+ years of experience in plastics processing Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office applications: Excel and Word Ability to maintain charts, graphs, and production reports is required Ability to perform basic math and measurements and to gauge parts if needed Demonstrated mechanical aptitude- experience with maintenance and repairs of extrusion equipment preferred Ability to ensure compliance with quality systems, policies, procedures, and practices and all local, state, federal and safety regulations, policies, and procedures Safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs when necessary; remain standing/walking for extended periods of time Excellent verbal and good written communication skills (Microsoft Office) Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills Flexible and capable of adapting to change Ability to work independently and as part of a team
