Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The SMT B position is responsible for setting up, operating, and supporting SMT production equipment with minimal supervision while performing job verification, in-process inspection, job changeovers, minor repairs, and tear down activities in accordance with quality, traceability, and 5S standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES SMT
Job Setup, Operation, and Support Read and follow assembly-specific Manufacturing Instruction, Feeder Sheets and job documentation Set up, operate, and support SMT line equipment with minimal supervision Perform job verification and checks prior to production Setup, operation, maintenance, and adjustments on surface mount production machines Support job changeovers and assist with multiple job setups as scheduled Setup, operation, and maintenance of
Stencil Cleaner Perform In-Process Inspection Duties:
Document and record defects per procedure, Repair minor non-conformances where applicable, Provide feedback to personnel on quality issues Responsible for scanning pertinent information within the placement machine scanner software Ensure all assemblies that remain in the SMT "Red Zone" are tagged and identified properly Minor feeder repairs; Interface with the Technician regarding major feeder repairs. Maintain work areas in accordance with 5S standards Communicate job, material, or process concerns promptly to Team A or Supervisor Tear Down Jobs Unload components from feeders and return to appropriate WIP locations in an organized manner Ensure that all moisture-sensitive components are properly sealed, marked, and stored Maintain component traceability during the tear down process Perform related duties as required or assigned within the job classification
SKILLS, ABILITIES, & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required
IPC-A-610
Certification. (Training provided in-house.)
J-STD-001
Soldering Certification (Training provided in-house.)
PC/Software Skills:
Microsoft Word and Excel for forms, documents, and spreadsheets Manex Software (ERP) Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle conflict professionally. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment up to 25-30 lbs. occasionally Frequent handling of small components, tools, and materials requiring fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity Good close vision, with or without corrective lenses, to inspect PCB assemblies, identify defects, and verify component placement Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Work is performed in a manufacturing environment and may include exposure to equipment noise, heat, soldering fumes, cleaning chemicals, and ESD controls, with proper PPE as required Join our team as an SMT Machine Operator if you're passionate about electronics manufacturing and eager to contribute your technical skills in a dynamic environment!
