Job Description

Make an impact supporting students and school communities as a full-time Social Worker in a dynamic educational environment. Two immediate onsite contract opportunities are available near Coal Center, PA. These roles offer the chance to provide crucial emotional and mental health services to young people in a supportive team setting.
Positions Available:
Position 1: Work with emotional support programs and the partial hospitalization program at a McMurray-based campus. Start as soon as possible - assignment runs through June 2027 (dates subject to change). Position 2: Serve as a long-term substitute at a school near Coal Center. Begin in October 2026 and continue through the end of January 2027 (specific dates to be finalized).
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field. Pennsylvania State License required. PDE Educational Specialist certification preferred. If you do not have this certification, you may still be eligible; an emergency certificate can be requested. Experience in school-based settings or with youth populations is strongly desired. Comfortable working onsite and able to commute to the designated campus(es). Adaptability and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to students in emotional support and partial hospitalization programs. Conduct assessments, interventions, and counseling sessions. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective support plans. Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive school climate. Serve as an essential resource in crisis intervention and prevention.
