Scope- Purpose of the position The purpose of this position is to operate a machine according to standards and specs.
Responsibilities The machine operator:
- Monitors the overall process including but not limited to product quality, temperature, weight, waste/down time, and any deviations that occur.
- Verifies visually product quality, lot code, and settings are present and accurate, etc.
- Ensures the traceability of the material by completing all traceability paperwork, and checklists.
Secondary Duties:
- Reports ALL quality and safety concerns to reporting manager or member of the management team not limited but including unknown visitors, pest control, expiration or production quality in question, sanitation, etc.
- Machine Operators should be flexible in ability and assist as required.
- Works with maintenance/QA to ensure product and equipment meet standard In addition to the specific duties outlined, you may be required to perform other tasks and responsibilities as deemed necessary by your manager.
Requirements:
- High school/GED diploma is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; maintain strong communication with other areas and departments.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in production processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment, maintaining efficiency under time constraints.
- Proficient in basic math (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication) for data recording.
- Basic understanding of production processes or willingness to learn technical skills related to food manufacturing
- One year of experience in production or food manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb (including stairs/ladders).
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Physical dexterity necessary to handle supplies, machine parts and tools.
- Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Job Type Full time
