Industrial Maintenance Technician / Machine Operator Victor Balata Belting Company

Anderson, SC Starting Pay:

$17.00 per hour Full-Time Job Summary Victor Balata Belting Company is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our manufacturing team as an Industrial Maintenance Technician / Loom Operator . This is a hybrid position combining industrial maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting with production machine operation . The primary focus of this position is maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our manufacturing equipment to help keep production running safely and efficiently. Maintenance and mechanical experience are the most important qualifications for this position. Previous loom or weaving experience is helpful but is not required . We are willing to train the right mechanically skilled candidate on our looms, weaving processes, and machine operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, diagnosing mechanical problems, making repairs, and being directly involved in the manufacturing process. Primary Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical problems on manufacturing equipment Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and production equipment Identify worn, damaged, or failing components before they cause extended downtime Repair, adjust, and replace mechanical components as needed Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers Respond to equipment breakdowns and help return machinery to production quickly and safely Maintain basic maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to management Operate industrial weaving looms and other production equipment as needed Monitor machines for proper operation and product quality Learn the setup and operation of our specialized manufacturing equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety procedures and equipment requirements Assist with other production and maintenance duties as needed Qualifications Mechanical or industrial maintenance experience is strongly preferred. Ideal candidates may have experience with: Industrial or manufacturing equipment maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting and repair Bearings, shafts, belts, chains, gears, motors, and drive systems Pneumatic systems Preventive maintenance Machine setup and adjustment Hand and power tools Reading basic mechanical diagrams or equipment manuals Welding or fabrication experience is a plus Previous textile, weaving, or loom experience is not required . Candidates with strong mechanical ability and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Is mechanically inclined and enjoys troubleshooting equipment Can identify a problem and work through possible causes to find a solution Is comfortable working hands-on with industrial machinery Is dependable and has strong attendance Takes pride in keeping equipment running properly Can work independently when troubleshooting mechanical issues Is willing to learn new equipment and manufacturing processes Understands the importance of workplace safety Is willing to perform both maintenance and production responsibilities Compensation Starting pay: $17.00 per hour Pay may be reviewed as the employee demonstrates proficiency in our equipment, maintenance responsibilities, and manufacturing processes.

Experience Preferred:

Mechanical maintenance: 1 year Industrial/manufacturing environment: 1 year Not required: Loom or weaving experience We will provide training on our specific looms and manufacturing processes for a candidate who brings the mechanical aptitude, maintenance experience, reliability, and willingness to learn that we are looking for.
