  • Greenville is seeking a mechanically inclined, detail-oriented candidate with a machinist mindset for a premier specialized manufacturing facility for our customer in the Fountain Inn, SC area .
In this technical production role, you will apply your mechanical acumen to set up, operate, and maintain advanced thermal coating equipment. We are looking for a true precision operator who takes pride in work history longevity, understands ultra-tight engineering tolerances, and approaches equipment operation with the mind of a machinist.
  • Precision Machinery Setup Operator Primary Responsibilities include: Your main responsibility is the machinist-level setup, calibration, and precise operation of specialized coating equipment , ensuring technical applications fall strictly within micro-level specifications.
Machinist-Level Setup & Operation:
Set up, calibrate, and operate high-precision automated spray booth machinery and thermal application systems.
Micro-Precision Adjustments:
Perform fine mechanical calibrations and process control adjustments to hold extremely tight tolerances measured in microns and microinches .
Blueprint Reading & Technical Interpretation:
Read, interpret, and work directly from complex technical engineering drawings, process sheets, and schematic patterns.
Tooling & Part Handling:
Safely load, align, mask, and position complex components inside processing booths using precision fixtures and hand tools.
Preventative Maintenance & Mechanical Care:
Diagnose mechanical variance, perform routine equipment maintenance, clean precision applicator nozzles, and troubleshoot system setups.
Quality Auditing:
Use precision measuring instruments to visually and dimensionally inspect finished components to guarantee exact microinch thickness specifications. Precision Machinery Setup Operator Requirements include: Machinist /
Mechanical Mindset:
Strong mechanical aptitude with a background in machine operation, setup, machining, or precision mechanical adjustment.
Job Longevity Required:
Must have proven job stability, demonstrating 3+ years of continuous experience in recent industrial or manufacturing roles.
Micro-Precision Experience:
Demonstrated capability of working with tight tolerances and executing fine machine adjustments down to micron or microinch levels .
Technical & Tool Literacy:
Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and reading complex engineering blueprints.
Dependability & Detail:
Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and an outstanding history of attendance and punctuality.
Workplace Adaptability:
Ability to work independently with high focus or collaborate effectively as part of a specialized technical team.
