Job Description
Operator - Departmental Assignments (Inbound, Outbound, Processing) Position Overview Department assignments are subsets of the Operator position and do not supersede Operator requirements. All Operators must meet the minimum qualifications for the Operator position and are expected to work across all operational areas as business needs require. Employees will not be limited to a single department assignment. 1st shift: Monday-Friday 6:30a-3p 2nd shift: Monday-Friday 3:30p-12a $18-$19/hr Department Task Overview Inbound Unload containers and palletize inbound freight Palletize freight using Pickle Robot and manual methods Perform pallet sortation and repalletization Operate authorized equipment (Pacer, Clamp, Motorized Pallet Jack, Reach Truck) Perform dock "Pacer" functions Complete freight putaway duties ("Putaway Driver") Conduct manual inventory verification counts Perform additional duties as assigned Outbound Build pallets by off-stacking freight from conveyor systems Transport pallets throughout the shipping dock Load trailers manually from conveyors or pallets Load palletized freight using powered industrial equipment Move freight using manual and motorized pallet jacks Perform manual inventory verification counts Stack and restack freight as needed Palletize and prepare freight for shipment, including manual and automated stretch wrapping Operate authorized equipment (Pacer, Clamp, Motorized Pallet Jack, Reach Truck) Perform additional duties as assigned Processing Operate authorized equipment (Pacer, Motorized Pallet Jack, Reach Truck) Perform order fulfillment tasks, including: Full pallet picking and replenishment Retrieval from RAFT and bulk storage locations Pick-to-pallet (manual palletizing) Autostore functions: Detrashing Picking Packing Full case pick-to-belt Putwall induction and packing Manually move freight, tools, and supplies Perform additional duties as assigned Responsibilities Operate lift equipment in accordance with Distribution Center safety guidelines Follow all SOPs to ensure process adherence and inventory accuracy Maintain a clean and safe work environment Comply with all company policies and procedures Use basic math skills to complete tasks; read work instructions and use weight scales Wear required PPE and operate equipment safely at all times Demonstrate a cooperative and professional attitude with coworkers and leadership Maintain flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed Support the company's quality policy by delivering high-quality work on time and at value Contribute to continuous improvement efforts Perform other duties as required Physical Demands Stand and walk for extended periods Perform repetitive motions Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling Lift up to 50 lbs regularly (team lifts required over 50 lbs) Work in varying temperature conditions
