Job Description

Job Summary:
The Machine Operator will perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on a project. They must be able to perform assigned job duties on time and according to design specifications and work instructions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Machine Setup and Operation:
Set up machines according to specifications, including adjusting settings and loading materials. Operate assigned machinery safely and efficiently to produce high-quality products. Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth functioning and identify any issues or malfunctions. Ability to read and follow design specifications, bill of materials, and work instructions.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. Take corrective action as needed to address any deviations from quality requirements. Document quality control data and report any non-conformities to supervisors.
Production Monitoring:
Monitor production output and efficiency, making adjustments to optimize performance and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments as necessary. Coordinate with maintenance staff for complex repairs or maintenance tasks.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards. Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
Communication:
Collaborate with other team members, including supervisors, technicians, and quality control personnel, to ensure smooth production operations. Communicate effectively with coworkers to exchange information and coordinate workflow.
Competencies:
  • Must be able to understand written and oral instruction and have the ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Solid understanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience.
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to lift, climb, push and pull as needed. May have prolonged periods of walking and standing. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
