Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Deploy process technology to minimize process variation and optimize the manufacturing of our products. 2. Improve machine efficiency through automation uptime and optimization. 3. Prepare and set up material blending and loading. 4. Perform mold start-ups using plastic fundamentals. 5. Maintain process guidelines through cycle times, E-Darts, clamp movement, etc. 6. Install, troubleshoot and remove EOAT. 7. Pull and understand FPI/SA paperwork and process variances. 8. Safely and effectively perform mold and version changes according to the production schedule. 9. Perform preventive maintenance on machines to include lubricating, changing fluids, changing filters and repairing worn or damaged parts. 10. Troubleshoot and make repairs to machine components. 11. Set up molding machines and ancillary equipment, as related to the molding process. 12. Identify and correct automation issues. 13. Edit automation, install, and remove EOAT's. 14. Improve machine efficiency through automation uptime and optimization. 15. Mold startups using plastic fundamentals and understanding all steps of mold/version changes. 16. Maintain all documentation for baselines specifications. 17. Troubleshoot material mixers, assist in color/material changes, and troubleshoot processing defects. 18. Train other employees and new hires as needed. 19. Follow all company policies and procedures. 20. Actively participate in safety activities. 21. Participate in safety and communications meetings as scheduled. 22. Complete all safety and company compliance training on time and according to schedule. 23.
Support in times of need:
i.e., production support, vacation coverage, and overtime changeover support. 24. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation. 25. Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain all CI, 5S and STW activities. 26. Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience:
  • 2-5 years of plastic molding experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting
  • Electrical troubleshooting
