Full-Time Position Summary Fortified Cottonseed is seeking a dependable, hardworking Machine Operator to assist with the production and packaging of our cottonseed products. This position is responsible for safely operating production equipment, maintaining consistent product flow, monitoring product quality, and helping keep the facility clean and organized. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, reliable, able to work well with others, and willing to take direction while staying productive throughout the workday. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate production and packaging equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a steady and accurate flow of product through the production line. Monitor machinery during operation and identify potential problems before they cause downtime. Perform basic adjustments and troubleshooting on equipment as needed. Notify the Lead Machine Operator or management of mechanical problems or equipment requiring repair. Monitor finished products for quality, consistency, and proper packaging. Assist with bagging, stacking, wrapping, and preparing finished product for shipment. Maintain an accurate bag and production count when required. Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials and finished products. Keep the production area, machinery, floors, and workspaces clean and organized. Participate in daily end-of-day cleaning and housekeeping. Follow all company safety, quality assurance, and production procedures. Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work cooperatively with other employees to meet daily production goals. Follow instructions from the Lead Machine Operator and management. Perform other production and facility duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience operating machinery, working in manufacturing, agriculture, feed production, or a similar environment is preferred but not required. Mechanical knowledge or mechanical aptitude is strongly preferred. Ability to identify basic equipment problems and assist with troubleshooting. Must be dependable, punctual, and ready to work at the scheduled start time. Must be self-motivated and able to remain productive without constant supervision. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and product quality. Willingness to learn multiple areas of the production process. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and move 50 pounds or more . Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to bend, lift, push, pull, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks. Ability to work in an agricultural/manufacturing environment where cottonseed, dust, and other airborne particles may be present. Must be able to safely work around moving machinery and production equipment.
