LI-DNP LAMINATING HELPER

$19-$19/HR M-F 5 1:15pm-9:45pm avg 40-65 hr/wk (2nd Shift)

The Opportunity:

Responsible for assisting the operator in all activities associated with running the laminator including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations. How you will impact

Smurfit Westrock:

Assist in setting-up laminator accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques. Inspect labels before run to ensure that label is to specification, particularly trim and registration. Maintain and keep orderly the label storage area. Provide inventories to sales management and accounting. Monitor corrugated sheet quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, and correct size. Check glue roll for proper glue application. Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed. Maintain file of Mylars for registration for repeat orders. Cross-train on other machines as needed Assist with completing necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data. Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping. Adheres to production schedule. May be assigned to other projects and duties What you need to succeed:

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry, preferred
• 6 months experience in the Press or Finishing Department, preferred
• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks, show sense of urgency
