Summary The Extrusion Operator Trainee is responsible for the safe, quality and efficient extrusion operation at Accredo Packaging. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Complies with established safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable. Orders resin and packaging. Aware of the various resin types. Performs job setup/changeover. Operates/troubleshoots extruder. Dismounts rolls. Performs quality checks. Reports/corrects nonconforming issues. Records/tracks production output and scrap. Labels output/scrap rolls. Packages and palletizes material. Transports material operating a walkie. LOTO extruder, as needed. Maintains extruder (i.e. screen change, extruder blade replacement). Cleans and ensures the department is maintained in an orderly fashion. Performs other related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate shall possess the following: High School Diploma or GED required. Basic computer skills, required. Experience with web-based software and ERP systems required. Basic math skills, required. Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic arithmetic and mechanical aptitude. Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.). Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions. Operating experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. 12-hour shift work experience required.
