Full Job Description Position Title:
Double Backer Operator Pay Rate :
$24.47/hr + Sign on
Bonus :
$500 after 30 days, $500 after 6 months,
Retention Bonus :
$500 after 1 year Additional lump sum after 2 years

The Job You Will Perform:
Matching roll stock with scheduled run sheet
  • Removing metal bands from roll and place in proper container
  • Preparing roll, placing peel in proper cart
  • Removing core plugs and discarding properly
  • Retrieving roll tag and entering roll in KIWI system
  • Placing roll on to delivery track and entering into respective machine
  • Operate roll stands by chucking up roll and guiding roll into the running position
  • Threading web into splicer and through machine
  • Preparing roll for splicing into "running roll"
  • Managing the splicing process
  • Threading single-face web through bridge guides
  • Threading single-face web through proper glue station
  • Maintain proper tension on single-face web
  • Thread and prepare single-face web for flute changes
  • Monitoring starch flow through glue station
  • Operate web guiding system safely
  • Communication of mechanical issues to shift supervisor
  • Operator must keep work areas and surrounding areas neat and orderly.
  • Operator must wear all required personal protective equipment
  • Operator must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs throughout work shift
  • Operator must follow lock-out/tag-out procedures.
