Job Description

This individual is responsible for packaging productions in appropriate bags with correct sell-by dates; at a rate this is profitable and efficient to meet department and company standards. Individual must setup and operate machine in a safe manner.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing tasks as described and assigned by department Supervisor. Responsible for working in a safe manner. Responsible for ensuring product specifications are attained. Performs job assignment in a cost conscious manner. Strives to satisfy the requirements of internal and external customers. Responsible for being at workstation on time each workday. Works as a team player and communicates with other department members. Ability to be flexible as to various job assignments and working conditions. Responsible for following Good Manufacturing Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, plant rules and policies. Must be able to pick up 16 pounds repetitively. Responsible for installing, removing, cleaning and re-taping of seal bars. Straightens and aligns each bag on the seal bar. Must keep pace with the line. Adjusts line speed for various products. May be involved in lubrication of 8600. Starts and stops the 8600 machine. May be involved in set-up and tear-down/put-away. Responsible for bringing problems with equipment to Supervisor or Lead Person. Responsible for the 8600 machine. Responsible to monitor correct and legible sell-by dated product.
Qualifications:
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
