Busada Manufacturing Corp. has been extruding high-quality plastic tubing and pipe since 1951 and is an industry leader in plastics manufacturing. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Machine Operator/Extruder to join our manufacturing operations team in Louisa, VA. The regular schedule for this position will be Monday-Thursday 7:00AM to 5:30 PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring plastic extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products according to provided specifications.

Operations & Production:

Set up and tear down extrusion lines, including dies and other tooling Operate and monitor extrusion machines and equipment. Ensure machinery is correctly calibrated and functioning properly Load raw materials into the extrusion machine, monitoring levels and replenishing as needed. Ensure extruded product meets customer specifications and quality requirements. Conduct quality checks and inspections, document and report any deviations from quality standards and take corrective action as necessary Operate extrusion equipment safely and ensure equipment is in safe operating order. Perform routine maintenance on extrusion equipment to ensure optimal performance Read and interpret technical documents and devices, including job specifications, instruments and gauges, and other output metrics Maintain accurate production records and documentation and complete required paperwork in a timely manner Utilize saws and other cutting tools to trim or size extruded product to specifications and package accordingly Clean and maintain tooling, screws, and equipment All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a machine operator working within a manufacturing environment Mechanical aptitude Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, instrument readings, and specifications Knowledge of and a commitment to safety protocols and procedures Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others, including communication, and embody the core values of Busada Physical stamina and ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment High school diploma or

GED Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with plastics manufacturing Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
