Job Title:
Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with experience in operating machinery in a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with band saws, particularly in cutting steel, and be proficient in operating a sit-down forklift. A strong attention to detail and the ability to read a tape measure are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Operate band saws to cut steel materials according to specifications. Drive and operate sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently. Perform visual quality control inspections to ensure the accuracy and quality of the cut materials. Maintain the processing equipment in a safe and clean condition. Ensure the processing area is kept clean, safe, and orderly. Accurately complete all required information entries. Apply metal to customer orders and process material according to work order specifications. Learn to operate aluminum saws ranging from 4'-20' long cuts for cutting materials from .019 to 10". Participate in classroom training and hands-on training with experienced trainers. Essential Skills Previous experience using a band saw for cutting steel. Ability and experience in operating a sit-down forklift. Proficiency in reading a tape measure. Strong attention to detail and ability to work on your feet. Good paperwork skills and understanding of chain of custody. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.15 - $26.15/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
