Job Description
Hiring multiple machine operators to work in a production facility manufacturing interior cabins for airplanes. Job Description Responsible for laying up and pressing panels used in interior and exterior aircraft parts within a clean manufacturing environment. This role focuses on operating production machinery, handling materials, and supporting continuous operational improvement to ensure high-quality aerospace components are produced safely and efficiently.

4p-4a (Fri-Sun, every other Monday) Responsibilities Verify and withdraw materials required for production in accordance with work orders and specifications. Cut and kit materials accurately to prepare them for layup and pressing processes. Lay up materials onto panels following established procedures and quality standards. Load and unload the press safely and efficiently to maintain production flow. Operate the press, monitoring settings and cycle times to achieve consistent panel quality. Operate saws to cut panels and materials to required dimensions. Trim panels on the CNC equipment according to technical drawings and specifications. Complete all required production paperwork with accurate counts, measurements, and process information. Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections to ensure panels meet quality requirements. Participate actively in operational improvement activities, contributing ideas and feedback to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency. Cross-train in or transfer to other departments as needed to support production demands. Perform assembly-related tasks as required to support the overall manufacturing process. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move materials and finished panels. Use hand and power tools appropriately for cutting, trimming, and finishing tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and housekeeping standards. Demonstrate flexibility by performing other tasks as needed to support team and production goals. Essential Skills Experience in general labor within a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to safely use hand and power tools for cutting, trimming, and assembly tasks. Machine operating experience, including press, saw, and CNC equipment in a manufacturing setting. Basic inspection skills to verify quality of parts and panels. Ability to perform assembly tasks as part of a production process. Experience operating forklifts or similar material handling equipment. Capability to complete production paperwork accurately and legibly. Willingness and ability to actively participate in operational improvement activities. Flexibility to cross-train or transfer to other departments as production needs change. Comfort working in a manufacturing environment where chemicals are present in the air, following all safety guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in aerospace or similar high-precision manufacturing is beneficial. Familiarity with CNC trimming operations and basic machine programming concepts is an advantage. Experience with kitting and material preparation processes in a production environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented production environment. Work Environment This role is based in a clean manufacturing facility focused on aerospace panel production. The work involves regular use of hand and power tools, presses, saws, CNC equipment, and forklifts. Employees work around chemicals present in the air and must be comfortable following all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment. The position is scheduled on weekend AM shifts, supporting ongoing production needs in a structured, process-driven environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Newport, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $21.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
