Manufacturing Operator (Assembly & Machine Operations)

OVERVIEW

Seeking a Manufacturing Operator to perform a variety of duties across assembly and machine operations, including punch press, press brake, and turret equipment. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery, assembling components, and ensuring production meets quality and efficiency standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up and operate manufacturing equipment including punch press, press brake, turret machines, and assembly stations. Assemble components and finished goods using various methods such as fastening, forming, welding support, or other processes. Install, adjust, and align tooling and equipment for production runs. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules. Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments or troubleshoot issues as needed. Perform in-process and final inspections using measuring tools to ensure product quality meets specifications. Maintain required production rates and meet output targets. Handle materials, load/unload machines, and ensure proper flow of parts through production. Complete all required documentation, including production counts, scrap reporting, and inspection records. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures. Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material issues, or quality concerns. Assist in training new employees and support team members as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management. Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or machine operation preferred. Experience with punch press, press brake, or turret machines is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions. Basic math and measurement skills. Familiarity with precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, gauges). Ability to operate machinery and hand tools with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Dependable with strong attendance and work ethic.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration. Occasional exposure to noise, fumes, or airborne particles. Moderate to loud noise levels; hearing protection may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regular standing, walking, and use of hands and arms. Frequent lifting, carrying, and handling of materials (typically up to 35 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs). Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or reaching. Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
