Oak Creek, WI Job Details Full-time 15 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Machine setup Machine operation High school diploma or GED Computer skills Full Job Description The DL2 Printer Machine Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining DTG printing equipment to produce high-quality printed garments. This role ensures all jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with production schedules and quality standards. The operator plays a key role in print execution, troubleshooting, and maintaining consistent output while minimizing waste and downtime. Duties | Responsibilities Operate DL2 DTG printers to produce garments according to work orders Load garments onto platens and ensure proper alignment prior to printing Monitor print cycles and adjust settings for optimal print quality Execute print jobs based on production schedules and priorities Perform daily startup and shutdown procedures for equipment Set up print jobs including file selection, color profiles, and platen configuration Conduct test prints and calibrations to ensure color accuracy Inspect printed garments for defects, alignment, and quality issues Identify and correct issues such as banding, misprints, or color inconsistencies Minimize reprints and material waste through attention to detail Perform routine maintenance including cleaning print heads and components Troubleshoot minor mechanical or print issues and escalate as needed Maintain logs for machine performance and maintenance activities Coordinate with warehouse and pretreat teams to ensure garment availability Communicate production status, delays, or issues to leadership Quality & Production Standards Ensure all printed garments meet customer and company quality standards Maintain consistency in color, placement, and print quality Support production efficiency goals and throughput expectations Assist with rush orders and priority jobs as needed Required High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of machine operation or production experience Basic computer skills for job setup and file management Ability to follow detailed instructions and production schedules Preferred Experience with DTG printing equipment (DL2 or similar) Knowledge of color management and garment printing processes Familiarity with RIP software and digital print workflows Bilingual (English/Spanish) Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and quality focus Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Time management and efficiency Strong communication and teamwork skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending Repetitive motions with hands and arms Ability to load/unload garments consistently throughout shift
Physical Demands:
Lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required Hands-on, fast paced production environment Standing/walking for long periods of time (8-10 hours per day) Repetitive use of hands and arms Will be exposed to warm and cold temperatures Ability to reach horizontally and vertically
