SummaryUnder the direction of the Fabrication Supervisor, the Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a machine during the production cycle. Operates and control machine settingsEffectively uses overhead cranes to lift steel onto machineFeeds material through the machine, creating specific cuts/holes into the columns and/or beamsIdentifies and loads correct electronic data, AutoCAD files and machine programs to complete the setup for each job.

Examines work and check defects regularlyCompletes and maintains any required paperwork, records and documentsChecks work area for hazardsComplies with safety regulations and wears appropriate PPE at all timesLeaves work area in a clean/safe state when shift is complete QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish helpful, but not required.
