We specialize in heavy civil commercial and industrial contracting including building bridges (both state and private), marine construction, earth moving, earth retention, road building, pile driving, boat lift manufacturing, snow removal, and design/build services. Job opportunity:
•Hourly base rate may be substantially higher for qualified and experienced individuals.•We are looking to add a Crane Mechanic to the team. This individual will be responsible to maintaining our fleet of American 5299 Crawler Cranes with Lattice Booms. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting, repairing and replacing parts to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our cranes. This person must be flexible while managing evolving timelines, dependable, able to take direction and work well within a team environment as well as individually. Our modern shop facility is equipped with overhead cranes and specialty equipment and tools needed for such equipment repairs. We strive to produce quality repairs for our equipment to support our crews in the field. Job Requirements Troubleshoot, repair and replace damaged or worn parts on American 5299 cranes Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance Dismantle and reassemble as needed Operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects and ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications and OSHA safety standards Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on cranes Read and understand operating manuals and technical drawings General knowledge and experience in engine repairs preferred (Primarily Detroit and Cummings) Communicate with management, field personnel and other shop personnel regarding equipment and repair status Maintain a clean and safe work space Assist with repair and maintenance of other company equipment as able and desired
