Communicate daily production needs and information with other Team Members. Ensure the mixing, baking and food processing of tortillas and flatbreads is in accordance with food safety practices. Work will consist of routine tasks requiring identification of problems and everyday decision-making.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Ensure timely and accurate execution of all activities associated with the mixing and processing of tortilla and flatbread products. Leads by example each day in key areas - quality, productivity, safety, good manufacturing practices, housekeeping and attendance. Follow all the established standard operating procedures and learned knowledge in mixing and baking of products. Know correct mixing order. Be very accurate in mixing to ensure dough consistency for daily production. Operate high speed equipment, equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, quality control inspections, line sanitation, and data recording. Maintain workstations in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Interact with production team members, quality assurance technicians, and maintenance technicians to improve safety, quality and maximize plant output. Operate forklift to move raw materials; document ingredients moved and used, calculate quantities of ingredients needed for batches; accurately measure ingredients into mixer Weighs and loads raw materials into the mixer following the mixing process and procedure guidelines at all times. Checks every ingredient added. Writes any required information on the batch sheets and other QA paperwork Perform quality checks to baked products to verify that food quality standards are maintained. Reports outages of ingredients to supervisor prior to beginning mixing any formula, reports equipment issues (mixing, scaling, or electronic) to the production supervisor and the maintenance department immediately. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations including health and sanitation as well as Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher procedures. Assist other Departments as required Requirements Excellent communication, math and organizational skills, ability to interact with other team members Ability to work safely and multi-task in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Promotes a harassment-free environment. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, you are frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Wears required safety equipment including but not limited to; hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel toe footwear. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
