Plastic Injection Molding:
Repairs and maintains machinery throughout the company plastic and silicone injection manufacturing facilities including but not limited to, motors, pumps, mills, bar feeders and sub-assembly equipment. Other responsibilities also include conducting preventative maintenance duties, installation of new and or moved equipment, and the inspection and adjustments of machinery as required. Responsibilities -Plastic Injection Molding:
- Diagnosing problem machinery;
- Repair and maintain machinery;
- Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery in support of production planning;
- Installation of new equipment, including start-up and trouble shooting;
- Adjust machinery including any ancillary equipment;
- Insure the safe operation of machinery in all areas;
- Employ Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures when maintaining equipment
- Other duties as assigned.
Plastic Injection Molding:
- Comfortable working with robotics;
- Must possess PLC troubleshooting skills;
- Comfortable working with a touch-screen interface;
- Capable of reading and understanding machine blueprints and schematics;
- Possess working knowledge in electrical, metal-working, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems, processes and operations;
- Strong knowledge of standard maintenance procedures including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical and computer-based diagnostic systems, and safety procedures related to machinery and production environments;
- Requires five (5) years minimum experience in maintenance mechanic in a plastic injection manufacturing environment;
- Preferably have exposure to working with BOY and Arburg plastic injection molding machines
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends;
- Ability to lift and carry medium-to-heavy objects (50lbs);
- Capable of climbing a ladder, reaching equipment located from the ground level to above shoulder height and have sufficient mobility to go from building to building.
Education-Plastic Injection Molding:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Some post-high school coursework in related field preferred but not mandatory
