Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Label Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining converting machines that slit large rolls of printed labels into smaller, precise sections ready for packaging and distribution. Your expertise will ensure that all labels meet strict quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced production environment where precision, mechanical knowledge, and safety are paramount. Responsibilities Operate the label slitter Read and interpret production documents and work orders accurately to set up machinery for specific label sizes and specifications Adjust industrial equipment, including slitters to achieve precise dimensional measurements and quality standards in finished labels Conduct routine mechanical troubleshooting to resolve equipment issues quickly, minimizing downtime Perform manual handling tasks such as loading raw materials, stacking finished labels, and performing quality inspections Maintain safety standards by adhering to safety protocol procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and machine guarding Document production activities accurately, including measurements, machine adjustments, and quality checks Qualifications Proven experience operating slitters or similar industrial equipment Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively Familiarity with prepress processes and interpreting manufacturing documents Knowledge of quality standards in production and ability to perform dimensional measurements with precision Basic math skills for calculations related to machine settings and measurements Understanding of safety standards in manufacturing environments and commitment to safety protocol adherence Ability to handle manual tasks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting Experience with forklift operation is a plus but not required; certification preferred We encourage you to share your resume if you have previous experience and are eager to work in a vibrant manufacturing environment where your mechanical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will make a real impact.
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
