Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Process Technician specializing in plastic injection molding! In this energetic role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring efficient, high-quality production of plastic components. Your expertise will help optimize machinery, troubleshoot technical issues, and uphold safety standards while working with advanced industrial equipment. Bi Lingual Spanish/English needed Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and adjust plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality parts efficiently. Perform routine inspections and measurements using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and robotic systems involved in plastics injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding processes. Maintain safety protocols by adhering to all safety procedures and properly handling industrial equipment and hand tools. Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Assist with setup, calibration, and changeover of machinery including CNC lathes, press brake machines, and CNC systems for various production runs. Support materials handling activities within the warehouse environment, including forklift operation when necessary. Collaborate with engineering teams on process improvements using lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Qualifications Proven experience in plastics production environments with knowledge of plastics injection molding, blow molding, or extrusion processes. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating industrial equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC machines, press brake machines, CNC lathes, robotic systems, and other fabrication tools. Ability to perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments for quality control purposes. Familiarity with safety protocols related to industrial equipment troubleshooting and materials handling. Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and process adjustments. Experience working with hand tools and machine operation within a manufacturing setting. Warehouse experience including forklift certification is a plus. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to promote continuous improvement initiatives. Strong troubleshooting skills for engineering issues related to machinery or robotic systems.
