Compensation and Logistics The compensation for this position ranges from $28.00 to $34.00 per hour, based on your professional background. You will work the 2nd shift from 3:45pm to 12:15am, with mandatory overtime as required. Please note that initial training will take place during the 1st shift for several weeks. This role is based in Elgin, IL. Candidates must provide a resume, complete an interview, and hold legal authorization to work within the United States. Core Responsibilities Direct, mentor, and instruct the molding team throughout the 2nd shift. Identify and rectify intricate challenges related to injection molding setups and processes. Distribute production tasks to operators and oversee the daily workflow. Compile shift documentation and participate in hand-off meetings. Help achieve production targets and customer quality requirements to ensure overall operational success. Modify processing variables to enhance production efficiency. Collaborate with the maintenance department to address equipment repair needs. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by keeping the floor clean and organized. Verify that all established quality protocols and work instructions are strictly observed. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork, safety, and operational growth. Manage initial first aid responses and organize medical care for workplace incidents. Execute necessary maintenance tasks on molds and machinery. Professional Qualifications Completion of a GED or high school diploma. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in plastic injection molding. Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity is preferred. Demonstrate strong technical aptitude to improve overall troubleshooting outcomes for molding processes. Proficiency in basic mathematics and strong verbal communication abilities. Capacity to inspire and guide a diverse workforce to achieve team goals. Fluency in both English and Spanish is considered an asset. Physical Demands Capable of lifting weights up to 80 lbs. Ability to remain on your feet for long durations.
