A-1 Tool Corp. - is seeking a self-motivated individual for a full time position in our Tool Maker department.

401(k), 100% paid family health/dental insurance, 12 paid holidays, and generous vacation. Responsible for making and repairing tools, molds, and fixtures for injection molding machines in a timely and efficient manner with minimal supervision. May work on manual machines.

Essential Functions:

Receive instructions from engineering through viewer, blue print or piece print. Review checklist to evaluate procedures. Plan sequence of operations and perform one or more setups to accomplish required machining operations. Select, check, make or repair tools, molds, fixtures, work holdings, electrodes and to sharpen tools. Set up and operate various machinery including grinders, drills, mills, lathes and various hand tools. Check blueprint and mold specifications. Uses micrometer, calipers, and fixed or adjustable gauges as needed to insure mold builds and/or repairs meet specified tolerances. Check and inspect mold for damage. Use hand and hand power tools to disassemble mold for cleaning and repair. Wipe and cleans mold. Perform routine and complex repairs. Operate lift truck, overhead or jib crane, and related equipment to lift, move, and handle mold. Manage tooling deadlines while maintaining a sufficient supply of spare mold components Keep work area neat and orderly. Receive, understand and follow written and oral instruction. Complete all paperwork associated with position. Comply with all company policies and procedures including attendance, safety and ISO.
