Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tube Mill Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining tube mill machinery to produce high-quality metal tubing efficiently and safely. Your expertise in machine operation, precision measurement, and metal fabrication will ensure that production standards are consistently met or exceeded. Duties Set up and operate a Yoder M Series tube mill machinery. Knowledge on change overs and improving their efficiencies. Floop operation. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components. Perform tooling setup, adjustments, and calibration to maintain optimal machine performance and product quality. Conduct precision measurements using measuring instruments and quality inspection tools to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications. Maintain safety standards in production by following safety protocols, operating equipment correctly, and ensuring a clean work environment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues with the tube mill equipment promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. Collaborate with team members on material handling tasks such as forklift operation for loading raw materials and finished products. Qualifications Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery and Tube Mills. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings (GD&T) and blueprint specifications. Skilled in machining processes including welding, forming, metal fabrication, and use of hand tools. Familiarity with measurement techniques for quality control using precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and commitment to safety protocol adherence. Ability to perform shop math accurately for machine setup and measurement calculations. Basic understanding of electrical discharge machining (EDM), plasma cutting, tooling selection, and CNC programming is a plus.
