- Run shift to schedule
- Position and align molds during changeover
- Clean and prepare molds for storage
- Set up auxiliary equipment, such as thermolators, temperature controls, robots, conveyor belts, etc.
- Sample new molds and cavities when necessary
- Control flow of materials and coolants into press
- Monitor cycle times to standards
- Keep track of production produced and removed from shop
- Oversee temperature and timing on machine
- Perform machine maintenance and repairs when necessary
- Perform shop maintenance when necessary (changing light bulbs, etc.)
- Address any safety issues that may arise Qualifications
- Minimum 2-years' experience on shop floor with injection molding mold setting
- Valid forklift certification
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
- Must possess mechanical aptitude
- Must demonstrate ability to solve problems and show initiative
