Job Purpose/Summary:
To cast products in accordance with established policies, procedures, and work instructions by performing the duties listed below.
Duties/Essential Job Functions:
1. Ability to operate all Nylon Mold machinery, computers, hand tools, power tools to manufacture product to customer and/or MPI quality standards 2. Perform spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards 3. Notify team leader of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions 4. Notify team leader of inventory of materials, parts and safety supplies 5. Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines 6. Read and interpret work instruction documents to produce finished product 7. Operate hand lift, cushion truck and reach truck to move inventory to storage locations 8. Able to assist on all casting and tool change over tasks for each product 9. Follow company policies and follow all safety precautions and bring any safety concerns and hazards to the attention of the immediate supervisor 10.Ability to perform all material preparation tasks 11.Maintain clean work areas at start and end of every shift 12.Box parts and make labels and accurate counting of monthly inventory 13.Report ergonomic concerns and process improvements (Employee Empowerment
  • TS Regulation) 14.Ability and flexibility to work early/late hours due to casting and mechanical issues due to the Nylon Mold Process 15.Assist in production assembly for MPI LVP and Performance Design, as needed Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Able to meet maximum recommended weight limit (RWL) lift defined by National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of 50 pounds
  • Follow PPE requirements such as wearing steel toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, sleeves, and respirator while casting material
  • Ability to work in a warm work environment
Travel:
Local travel is occasionally required Required education and experience:
  • High School Diploma/High School Equivalency (GED) or higher Preferred education and experience:
  • Experience working with machinery, hand tools, and power tools
