PLASTICS INJECTION MACHINE OPERATOR

First Shift | Monday-Friday | 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Department Production Reports To Shift Supervisor Shift First Shift Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Position Summary Produces, inspects, and packages quality injection-molded parts in accordance with product specifications, control plans, work instructions, safety requirements, and established productivity standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Meet or exceed established productivity goals while consistently maintaining quality and safety standards. Monitor assigned production areas and remove molded parts from belts, conveyors, or collection areas as required. Perform required visual inspections and gage inspections in accordance with control plans, product specifications, and work instructions. Identify, separate, and properly dispose of or contain defective and nonconforming parts. Sort, trim, assemble, and package acceptable parts according to approved packaging specifications. Accurately complete control plans and other required production and quality documentation. Promptly report suspected quality concerns, equipment issues, process changes, or other production problems to the Shift Supervisor or designated team member. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and complete assigned housekeeping activities. Assist with waste disposal and recycling activities in accordance with company procedures. Follow all company safety rules, work instructions, quality procedures, and applicable personal protective equipment requirements. Additional Responsibilities Work cooperatively and professionally with team members at all levels of the Company. Represent Grand Haven Custom Molding in a professional and ethical manner consistent with the Company's values and expectations. Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and business needs. Qualifications High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential preferred. Previous manufacturing experience preferred; entry-level candidates may be considered. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, product specifications, control plans, and safety procedures. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Dependable attendance, a positive and professional attitude, and attention to detail. Availability to work overtime as needed based on customer and production demands. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the scheduled shift. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, lift, carry, and handle parts and packaging materials. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Additional Assignment Statement Grand Haven Custom Molding may temporarily assign any team member duties outside of their normal responsibilities. Such assignments may be warranted due to a variety of specific requirements, conditions, and/or capabilities of available personnel. Management will determine the nature and duration of those assignments.
