Job Title:

Mold Setter Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Mold Setter for the 2nd Shift. The role involves conducting 4-5 mold changes per shift, requiring proficiency in locking out and tagging out machinery, unscrewing hoses, and handling mold transitions. You will be responsible for inserting new molds, attaching water lines, adjusting temperatures, and ensuring the first piece runs off successfully. Troubleshooting is key to ensuring specifications are met before proceeding to the next mold change. This position involves working with small extrusion (60 ton) and plastic injection presses (400-700 ton), and you will operate in a collaborative environment with a 2-man team on each shift. Responsibilities Conduct 4-5 mold changes per shift efficiently. Lock out and tag out machinery safely. Unscrew all hoses and remove existing molds. Transport molds to the tool room and insert new molds. Attach water lines and adjust temperatures appropriately. Run first piece and troubleshoot until specifications are met. Collaborate effectively in 2-man teams to achieve shift goals. Essential Skills Minimum 2 years of experience in mold/die setting within the plastic industry. Proficiency in Crane and Hilo operations with at least 2 years of experience. Ability to work 6 days per week reliably. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in first piece troubleshooting (burn, splay, short). Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a very clean and new manufacturing facility, featuring a smaller floor with extrusion machines that are smaller than plastic injection machines. The facility is equipped with dual profile rotary, double-shot injection presses, including Engels and Van Dorns, and 60-ton overhead cranes. Shift options include 1st Shift (7am to 3pm), 2nd Shift (3pm to 11pm), and 3rd Shift (11pm to 7am). Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $50000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
