Die Setter:
Responsible for setting up efficient, safe and time- effective mold change. Refers to all deficiencies/problems with the task and equipment used to production shift supervisor. Ensures the mold is set safely and in accordance with current industry standards so that the first shot produced meets quality standards. Perform timely mold changes Communicates and coordinates manufacturing requirements with other shifts. Communicates with Shift Supervisor pending mold and color changes during their shift. Receive job line-up of scheduled mold changes. Set-up will include mold, workstation, auxiliary equipment Performs continuous housekeeping activities for mold setting and removal so that work environment is pristine condition, tool and equipment cleaned and stored properly, and all damage and/or repairs needed reported properly. Actively promotes safe operations on each assigned mold change; responsible for the safety of all co- workers working with the mold set. Physical Requirements of a
Die Setter:
While performing the duties of this job, employees are occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
