Job Description

As a Mill Operator on 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday, 9:00pm - 5:30am) you are at the heart of our steel mill, responsible for tasks related to the operation of our weld steel-pipe mill machine as well as various heavy equipment. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves AND you bring a mechanical mindset with an ambitious & positive attitude to learn-this job is for you! Essential Duties and Responsibilities Utilize various hand tools and equipment. Operation of various hydraulic and electrical systems related to the mill machine. Utilize various computer apps and programs. Perform various mathematical calculations. Utilize cutting torches, plasma cutters and welding equipment. Perform other various tasks within the manufacturing process of helical steel pipe. Ability to operate a crane and forklift (training provided).
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalence Steel toe boots and sleeved shirts required are the employee's responsibility Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, protective gloves provided by Trinity Must be able to work in changing ambient temperatures. Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time. Previous experience working with mechanical tools and environments. Must have a willingness to train and learn new equipment.
