Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Process Technician will have daily responsibilities to include ensuring compliance with safety/ environmental policies while also responsible for setting up the molding machines to the defined process and part specification while minimizing scrap and down time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with injection molding machines, keeping the production floor running efficiently Audit process parameters and implement changes as appropriate to improve cycle times Complete all required paperwork daily Maintain and update a process log and set-up info in mold book for each tool Performing mold and/or material changes as dictated by the schedule Performing process troubleshooting, part inspections and various other functions to insure part conformity and quality Verifying paperwork for new start up jobs and oversee completion of 1st piece inspections Monitor, maintain and preparing support equipment i.e. thermolators, grinders, etc as needed in the production area Maintain and optimize "end-of-arm" robot extraction tooling Create and maintain an environment for a safe and healthy workforce Maintain housekeeping standards of assigned areas Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and organization is critical Operate powered vehicles Assisting in break coverage when needed Ability to fill-in as the Production Lead or Production Supervisor as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Job-related experience as a Process Technician with injection-molding equipment 3+ years. Injection molding training and Certification (RJG, AIM, Paulson, etc) Forklift certification High School Diploma or equivalent Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach, and lift 50 pounds without assistance Excellent Communication Skills Strong mathematical skills
