Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Grinder Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating grinding machines to shape, finish, and refine metal parts with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in CNC programming, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and industrial equipment troubleshooting will ensure the highest quality standards are met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, accuracy, and craftsmanship are paramount. Duties Set up and operate various grinding machines, including CNC grinders, manual grinders, and precision surface grinders, ensuring adherence to production specifications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to determine machining requirements and tolerances. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to perform dimensional measurements and ensure parts meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Program CNC grinding equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and Fanuc controls to optimize machining processes. Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety standards in production and handling shop tools responsibly. Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks involving materials handling, assembly line processes, and packaging of finished products. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes, milling machines, press brake machines, stamping presses, or CNC grinders within a manufacturing or factory setting. Strong knowledge of mechanical blueprint reading, shop math, fabrication techniques, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with programming languages related to CNC (Fanuc controls), CAM programming, and SolidWorks for design interpretation. Ability to use precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments for quality control purposes. Mechanical knowledge combined with industrial equipment troubleshooting skills to address operational issues efficiently. Experience with forklift operation is a plus for materials handling tasks. Excellent understanding of safety standards in production environments along with factory experience emphasizing quality control practices.
