SUMMARY :
Responsible for installation and removal of molds. Performs trouble shooting and molding machine start ups to prescribed production standards. Performs inspections and compares products to Quality Control Standards by performing the following duties.
Shift Availability:
Overnight shift 7pm-7am on a 2-2-3 day schedule $22-25/ hour plus .50/hr. shift differential 2nd shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm M-F (plus $.70/ hr. shift differential) 3rd shift: 11:00pm- 7:30am Sun-Th (plus $.70/ hr. shift differential) What you will do as a Mold Technician and equipment/tools will use:
  • Make sure all paperwork and material is correct.
  • Verify Die Setter installed mold properly.
  • Prepare machine to start: Heats on, water on, load program/enter by hand number into computer, all movements of machine are correct.
  • Start machine by injecting plastic into mold from injection unit on machine.
  • Verify all parts meet drawings by using calipers, other gauges as required.
  • Make any adjustments needed to produce quality accepted 1st piece.
  • Answer any machine alarms.
  • Do Die Setter role as required.
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Certificate or degree from college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must successfully complete any/all in-house molding training certifications.
