SLITTER / PRODUCTION HELPER

Pay:

$19.00/hour

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30

PM Hours:

40 hours/week

Position:

Long-Term Opportunity We are currently hiring a Production Helper to support operators in a manufacturing shop environment. This position will assist with the operation of slitting machines and help ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist operators with setup and operation of slitting machines. Transport and prepare materials for production. Check coils according to work orders, including width, thickness, and coil identification. Assist with machine setup and adjustments. Perform basic calculations and measurements according to work orders. Inspect steel strip for surface and edge quality and report any issues. Assist with feeding material through the production line. Apply strapping and assist with unloading finished coils. Change scrap materials and keep necessary production supplies stocked. Maintain a clean and organized production area. Follow all safety procedures and inspect equipment as required. Report equipment issues, defects, or quality concerns to the supervisor. Assist with minor maintenance tasks when instructed and properly trained.

Qualifications:

Manufacturing experience preferred. Steel industry experience is a plus. Ability to perform basic calculations and work with measurements. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to follow safety procedures and production instructions.
