Job:

The Mold Technician - Process is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of injection molding machines. The technician ensures that the molding process is functioning correctly and that it operates efficiently to produce high-quality parts. The role requires attention to detail, technical skills, a hands-on approach, and a commitment to maintaining safe working practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be 18 years of age to apply 1. Setting up, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintaining injection molding machines successfully and promptly to maintain an efficient molding process. 2. Changing molds in injection molding machines. 3. Manage any outsourced work to meet planned work schedule. 4. Maintain machine performance, output, and part quality throughout the molding process. 5. Perform inspections of molded parts to ensure compliance with quality standards. 6. Document findings from inspection assessments and report discrepancies. 7. Assist in troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency. 8. Adhere to safety policies and procedures while operating equipment and handling material. 9. Collaborate effectively with other departments to optimize the process and improve efficiency. 10. Mentor and assist in the training of new techs and operators as required. 11. Participate in new mold trials, production improvement trials and various continuous improvement activities. 12. Other duties as assigned. Education and/or

Experience:

Previous experience as a Mold Process Technician, preferably in an injection molding environment. High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications in injection molding or experience in a related field are a plus.
