In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and continuous quality improvement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision, technical skill, and proactive problem-solving are valued. Duties Set up and calibrate injection molding machines according to engineering specifications and production requirements. Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and perform adjustments to optimize cycle times and product quality. Conduct routine inspections of molds, tooling, and equipment using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement to minimize downtime. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure parts meet design standards. Operate CNC programming tools for mold modifications or small adjustments when necessary. Maintain accurate production records, quality documentation, and shift reports while adhering to lean manufacturing principles. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding (including MIG welding), and fabrication techniques for tooling repairs or modifications. Support quality control processes by inspecting finished parts for defects and ensuring compliance with specifications. Assist in warehouse activities such as material handling using forklift trucks and managing inventory of tooling and raw materials. Qualifications Proven experience working with injection molding machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with CNC programming, CAM programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and press brake machines is highly desirable. Skilled in welding techniques such as MIG welding along with fabrication skills using hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of GD&T standards for precise measurement and quality assurance. Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine control systems. Experience with machining processes including CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and related equipment. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to manufacturing processes. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction. Warehouse experience including forklift operation certification is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to use precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers effectively. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly within a fast-paced production environment.
