Job Description

About the Position & Our Intent We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Technician with a strong background in process troubleshooting and machine setup. This is a long-term placement strategy. While the role begins as a Temp-to-Hire position to ensure a mutual fit, our goal is to bring on a committed, career-minded individual who is looking for a stable, permanent home. We want someone who intends to build a long-term career with our organization and grow into leadership or engineering roles over time. Technical expertise is only half the equation. We are specifically seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal skills who can communicate clearly, build positive relationships across departments, and foster a collaborative environment on the shop floor.

•Pay will be negotiated and based by experiance and skill sets.

Key Responsibilities Setup & Tooling Changes:

Perform complete mold changes, install auxiliary equipment, and connect water, hydraulic, and electrical lines according to safety procedures.

Process Optimization:

Establish, document, and maintain stable molding processes using scientific molding principles.

Defect Resolution:

Systematically identify and resolve part defects (e.g., flash, sink marks, warp, splay, short shots) to minimize scrap and downtime.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner effectively with shift supervisors, engineers, quality technicians, and floor operators. Communicate process adjustments clearly and respectfully to non-technical team members.

Mentorship & Support:

Assist press operators with technical questions, train junior staff patiently, and address floor challenges with a constructive, solution-oriented attitude.

Qualifications Experience:

Minimum of 3 years as an Injection Molding Technician or Process Tech in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Pay:

$20.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Experience:

Plastics injection molding: 3 years (Preferred)
