Shift Hours & Pay Rate:
Mon-Fri, 1pm-9:30pm, $19.50 Job Description This role focuses on accurately mixing, scaling, and batching materials in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will work from written instructions to measure large quantities of product into smaller batches, repackage them into appropriate containers, and support the production of batter and related food products. As you become proficient, you may receive training to operate mixing machines and take on more advanced production tasks. Responsibilities Work from clear, written instructions to measure and scale large quantities of product into smaller batches with consistent accuracy. Repackage materials into smaller containers according to production and quality requirements. Read and follow formulas and instructions to add the correct ingredients and quantities to mixing equipment to produce batter and other food products. Maintain precise measurements and counts to ensure product consistency and adherence to production standards. Lift and move materials weighing between 50 and 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. Support mixing machine operation once trained, including loading ingredients, monitoring batches, and following safety procedures. Collaborate with a production team of 10 or more people in mixing and scaling to meet daily output goals. Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to facility rules. Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and maintain reliable attendance, especially during the temporary employment period. Complete required onboarding steps, including paperwork and pre-employment screening, before starting work. Essential Skills Experience in production or manufacturing environments. Ability to perform mixing, scaling, or batching tasks, preferably in a food or similar production setting. Strong basic math skills for accurate measuring, scaling, and counting. Ability to read and understand written instructions and production formulas. Capability to lift and carry 50 to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. Reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to consistent attendance. Comfort working as part of a team of 10 or more people in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications No formal education requirements. Prior experience in food manufacturing or production is beneficial. Willingness to learn and be trained on mixing machines and other production equipment. Ability to follow detailed processes and quality standards. Readiness to complete all required onboarding steps and screenings prior to assignment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $12.75- $13.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
