Job Description
Lead Injection Molding Process Technician Responsibilities Develop, optimize, and maintain robust injection molding processes and manufacturing methods to ensure consistent product quality and efficiency. Troubleshoot injection molding and manufacturing issues, including process deviations, equipment problems, and quality concerns on the production floor. Perform detailed root cause analysis for process and quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Analyze production data such as quality metrics, scrap rates, cycle times, and operating costs to identify trends and drive process improvements. Support new mold launches by establishing initial process parameters, conducting trials, and validating performance. Lead product validation and process sampling activities to ensure new and existing products meet specifications and regulatory or customer requirements. Coordinate and execute mold changeovers and setup activities to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Collaborate with maintenance teams to support preventive maintenance and repair activities on injection molding equipment and molds. Provide technical support and hands-on guidance to process technicians and production personnel on process optimization, troubleshooting, and best practices. Train production and process staff on standard operating procedures, process controls, and safe equipment operation. Document process settings, changes, and improvements to maintain accurate and up-to-date process records. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, improving cycle times, and lowering operating costs. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work takes place in a very clean manufacturing environment focused on injection molding operations. Team members work on 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. or 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with a shift premium provided for both schedules. Overtime is available on a voluntary basis, offering flexibility in work hours. The facility operates modern injection molding machines, with ongoing expansion adding additional new equipment. Personal protective equipment is supported through reimbursement, and free company uniforms are provided as standard attire, contributing to a professional and safe workplace. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Edinburgh, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70720.00
