Description:
Babich & Associates is recruiting three Mold Setters for a confidential manufacturing client operating plastic injection molding presses. Mold Setters will complete production changeovers by shutting down the press, disconnecting support equipment, removing the current mold, installing the next mold, reconnecting auxiliaries, entering approved process settings, and supporting first-shot and first-piece activities. Candidates should understand safe mold movement, press setup, auxiliary connections, work-order reporting, mold storage, and startup communication. Forklift, crane, and lockout/tagout experience are required. Prior hands-on mold-setting or injection molding changeover experience is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities
  • Complete production changeovers
  • Shut down presses and disconnect support equipment
  • Remove existing molds and install new molds
  • Reconnect auxiliary equipment
  • Enter approved process settings
  • Support first-shot and first-piece activities
  • Follow safe mold movement, storage, and startup procedures Available Schedules
  • One opening on 2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 2:45 p.m.-11:05 p.m.
  • Two openings on 3rd shift: Monday-Friday, 10:45 p.
m.-7:05 a.m. Candidates should submit a resume outlining their mold-change experience, press sizes, crane or forklift background, and the types of molding equipment they have supported.
Requirements:
  • Forklift experience required
  • Crane experience required
  • Lockout/tagout experience required
  • Understanding of press setup and auxiliary connections
