Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Molding Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and consistent quality output. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor plastics blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage machine functions and troubleshoot operational issues promptly. Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet strict tolerances. Perform routine maintenance on molding equipment including press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and fabrication tools to maximize uptime. Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling equipment, ensuring proper storage and inventory management within the warehouse environment. Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring finished products meet quality standards before packaging or shipment. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency across production lines. Experience Prior experience operating plastics blow molding, injection molding, or extrusion machinery is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and hand tools is essential. Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and the use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments are required. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and safety procedures in a manufacturing setting will set candidates apart. $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
