CNC Machinist / Lathe Operator Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Machinist and Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating vertical mills and manual lathes to produce precision metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical blueprint interpretation, precision measurement, and various machining techniques. Experience with Internal and external ACME threading of bronze, stainless steel would be a plus. Duties Operate vertical mills and manual lathe to produce metal parts according to detailed specifications. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements. Perform precision measurements using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions during and after machining. Execute milling, manual machining, and other metalworking processes to achieve desired shapes and tolerances. Monitor machine operations for quality, efficiency, and safety; make adjustments as needed during production runs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area; perform routine maintenance on equipment. Requirements Hands-on experience with manual lathe operation and manual machining techniques. Strong ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency in precision measurement tools and techniques for quality assurance. Knowledge of milling processes along with metalworking skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining principles and equipment maintenance.

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
