Mountain View, CA On-Site | Full-Time $90,000 - $130,000 + Equity Derekhpath is recruiting for a Product Launch / Site Process Engineer on behalf of a confidential, venture-backed company in Mountain View. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys new product introduction, site/process improvement, lean implementation, and cross-functional coordination. The company is building a repeatable physical product at scale, so this role is focused on making sure product changes, site execution, manufacturing handoffs, and field operations all work together cleanly. The Product Launch / Site Process Engineer will support product launches, process development, field workflow improvement, and ongoing continuous improvement efforts. As a Product Launch / Site Process Engineer, you'll work closely with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Field teams to improve efficiency, reduce waste, support product changes, and make sure new processes are properly tested, documented, trained, and adopted in the field. Key Responsibilities Support new product introduction and product launch initiatives across site, field, and manufacturing operations. Help develop, test, and implement improvements to current and future products. Assist with integrating new products and product changes into field and site execution processes. Support prototyping, iterative testing, feedback review, and process refinement. Help manage product changes and transitions across manufacturing and field operations. Analyze current site and field workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Apply lean principles to improve material flow, labor efficiency, production speed, quality, safety, and waste reduction. Lead or participate in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement projects. Work with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Field teams to solve execution challenges and implement sustainable process improvements. Train manufacturing and field staff on new processes, workflows, and lean methods. Help establish and monitor KPIs for safety, quality, labor efficiency, production speed, and material utilization. Maintain documentation for product launches, process changes, testing, and improvement projects. Prepare reports and present findings to internal stakeholders to support decision-making. Evaluate tools, technologies, and process improvements that could improve field execution, site productivity, and production capability. Help ensure processes follow company policies, safety standards, and applicable industry requirements. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in new product introduction, process engineering, lean manufacturing, field operations, site operations, or a similar production environment. Experience applying lean methods, Six Sigma, Agile principles, or other continuous improvement tools. Strong analytical skills and ability to identify process gaps, field issues, production issues, and improvement opportunities. Experience with CAD systems, manufacturing software, process mapping tools, or project/process documentation systems. Comfort working with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, procurement, field teams, and operations. Strong communication skills and ability to train or support manufacturing and field staff as processes change. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving production or field environment. Experience with Jira or Agile project management tools is a plus. Experience in off-site construction, modular building, building products, construction operations, or manufacturing is a plus. Experience with field execution, material flow improvement, production layouts, installation processes, or process mapping is a plus. Why This Role This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to stay close to how products are actually launched, installed, tested, improved, and repeated in the field. Instead of only working on isolated process improvements, this role stays connected to the full product lifecycle. The work is focused on improving launch execution, field workflows, material flow, documentation, training, quality, and the systems behind repeatable site execution. The company offers a competitive salary, equity, medical/dental/vision benefits, and the opportunity to join a team working on a complex physical product with real manufacturing, field operations, and continuous improvement behind it.
