System Operator I/II Job Type:
Full Time TDPUD Overview Truckee Donner Public Utility District is a customer-owned electric and water utility, governed by locally elected Board of Directors, located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains 15 miles north of Lake Tahoe in Truckee, CA and nestled in what has been named the best ski town in North America. Truckee Donner PUD provides sustainable, reliable, and high-quality water and electric services to over 13,000 electric customers and over 12,500 water customers in greater Truckee, a service area of 45.5 square miles. The Position System Operator I - This classification is developmental, with demonstrated skillsets and aptitude to perform the fundamental requirements of the position under the direction and supervision of the District's Director of Electric Engineering and Operations, specifically as it relates to the centralized coordination of the electric utility Control Center functions, including dispatch, and system monitoring. System Operator I will also participate in the development and implementation of standard SOPs, operational planning and emergency response. System Operator II - This classification requires a higher level of experience and skillsets, and the ability to execute the broad rand of responsibilities under limited supervision. In addition to the fundamental System Operator responsibilities, under general direction be responsible for the design, development and implementation of electric Control Center applications such as SCADA, OMS, SOPs and strategic planning.Minimum Qualifications:

A qualified candidate would have a combination of education and experience to fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities. A combination of education and experience demonstrating the skillsets and aptitude to meet the job performance expectations. Demonstrated knowledge of utility system operations, reliability standards, and emergency response protocols Experience developing and maintaining operational SOPs. Ability to manage multiple software platforms including OMS, SCADA, and Work Management Systems. Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills. Possession of a valid Class C driver license with a record acceptable to insurance carrier. Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and facilitate cross-departmental communication. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook.Benefits:
