• Full-time Description High Mountain Processing is Colorado's only producer of wood fuel pellets and is recognized for its high quality and commitment to the environment.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced supervisor to lead the second shift at our pellet mill operation in Walden, Colorado. The fuel pellet mill employs 10-12 people and is a market leader with well-established regional products. The night supervisor position is a hands on position that will require the individual to learn the functioning of the plant and the computer based controls to monitor and adjust the fully automated processes while leading a small team of workers. Job Responsibilities:

Safety

• Coordinate, implement and maintain work practices that conform to the company's safety policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations. Operations/Production
• Manage the plant operations during the second shift to achieve continuous operation of the plant including production, safety, equipment maintenance and cleaning. The position requires learning to monitor machine parameters and respond to a variety of conditions and production variables necessary to maintain the plant operating in a consistently safe and productive manner. Leadership
• Supervise a small team of employees in a manner that builds a culture of teamwork, skill development and employee satisfaction. Maintenance
• Follow established procedures to maintain plant equipment in good working order including performing preventive maintenance, trouble shooting and, repairs in coordination with the company's millwright department, as appropriate. Reporting
• Complete logs and reports to track plant performance. Effectively communicate results on a routine basis. Housekeeping
• Maintain a clean work environment in the plant. Over-all Responsibility
• Responsible for the plant achieving quality, performance and productivity objectives during the second shift in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.

Basic Qualifications Minimum of 3 years previous production plant experience, 1 or more of those years in a leadership position. Good verbal and written communication skills. History of utilizing computer applications to manage process controls in a manufacturing environment. Ability to learn wood fuel pellet production processes and standards necessary to respond to daily variables associated with a multi-process operation. The successful candidate will receive training on the operations over a several month period. Skill in routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Must be able and willing to work a flexible work schedule. Job Location Walden, Colorado. Position Type Full-Time/Regular. The company primarily operates on two 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week. This position is for the 6:00 pm to 6:00 am shift. Salary This position pays $20.00

00 per hour. There is built-in overtime in this position. The successful candidate should expect to earn $65,000 to $70,000 annually.
